Our definition of a banner is a fabric structure that is restrained between fixed arms and not free to fly with the wind.  A flag on the other hand is a fabric structure that is not restrained other than on its leading edge and is free to fly with the wind.

To ensure the best possible result when building banner poles, the banners are set under considerable tension.  This extends the life of the banner and makes the message on the banner more legible to passers by.  The almost rigid banner becomes a good medium for complex messages and images, a complete contrast to flags and flagpoles.  Banner poles have more in common with sign poles than with flagpoles.

After dark, combined with ground mounted up-lighting, banner poles become a very attractive form of signage.  Images can be digitally printed on both sides of the banner and can be changed easily.
