The Homesteader is a cost effective flagpole that ships in 2 pieces for ease of shipping. These poles are usually supplied with an external halyard and spigot base. Poles over 8m tall are supplied with a ground sleeve to facilitate ease of ongoing maintenance.
The Homesteader has a heavy duty lower portion of the pole to absorb high wind loads, and a smaller diameter upper portion of the pole to minimise harmonic vibration due to shedding of wind vortexes. This harmonic vibration is why most poles over 6m tall are either conically tapered or step tapered.
